1. What are my cemetery's requirements?

By law, all cemeteries must accept a headstone purchased from an outside source. They may, however, have some regulations on the size, style and color of the stone. At MonumentsInStone, we recommend that you have your cemetery's administrator sign off on our drawing of the monument in order to make sure it meets your cemetery's requirements. We know all the right questions to ask... and we are here to help you through the process.

If your cemetery requires a setting permit or application, we can assist you with the needed paperwork. All additional cemetery fees for installation, foundation and any other applicable cemetery charges will be at the responsibility of the purchaser.

It is your responsibility to make sure your monument meets cemetery requirements.

2. How are items shipped?

We are equipped to ship anywhere in the USA. We can ship directly to your cemetery as well as to any private residence. Once the design is approved, we can have your stone delivered in 6 – 8 weeks.

Shipping prices for our single, granite headstones are $250.
Shipping prices for our companion, granite headstones are $350
Shippng prices for our single Bronze markers are $350
Shippng prices for our companion Bronze markers are $450

All shipped items will require a signature. It is very important to inspect the memorial on receipt. In the rare instance should your stone incur damage during shipment, note the damages on the bill of lading. Contact us immediately, so we can help you file a claim promptly. If possible, take a photo. All merchandise should be retained in the original shipping container in the same condition when damage was discovered-until an inspection can be done.

MonumentsInStone is not responsible for the memorial after the bill of lading has been signed and delivery has been accepted.

3. Will I get to approve the design first?

You will get to proof and approve the marker before manufacturing takes place. This means that we will produce a professional, scaled drawing for your review and approval. Remember, changes can not be made after our work commences. Please take time to go over the designs we send you – especially when foreign languages are used on the stone.

4. Are your stones guaranteed?

We want you to have peace of mind. Your stone will be fabricated from the finest quality natural granite and/or true memorial bronze. Our granite is free from defects and will not crack or disintegrate. Sandblasting will be done by artisans we have used for years. The Bronze we use is cast by one of the world’s finest foundries. All writing and art are hand chased and highlighted.

If your stone arrives broken, dented, missing parts or with any defects at all, we will replace it for free at no additional cost to you.

Granite and Bronze are made to weather all elements. Your memory will never fade and neither will your loving tribute.

5. Do you make headstones in other languages?

We can do most foreign languages that use the English alphabet without any additional cost. We can also do lettering in Chinese, Korean, Persian, Russian and Hebrew.

We provide design suitable for many faiths. Please contact us about the thousands of different designs we offer.
